I’m done and season theme for upcoming season is just a huge power creep making existing builds more OP I bet. It’d take ages to undo that again and go back to old build if you change aspects etc. Can’t even use gear for a second or third build on my main cause undoing paragon board is a choir and a huge time investment and will most likely fail anyways duo to missing pieces of gear and lvl scaling in open world. Items boring, uniques rarely build changing and if they are build changing they are too rare to find (Tempest Roar), lvl 1-70 or WT 1-3 is a choir and not fun.Įvery twink foggy map, new renown grind etc., level requirement on items depending on your main level LOL (I know will be fixed, but having it like that at the beginning makes me wonder who made this game - bad taste).Ĭan’t twink properly duo to finding gear that is to high level from main, no sense. They created a way too narrow and huge world that is very very empty and soulless. Maybe the saying should be “git memorized”, because that is the only skill that is possibly accomplished/improved. If the skills don’t transfer to anywhere else, I don’t really find it a “git gud” situation, but more of a “learn the rules/parameters and then break and exploit them” situation. If you find gitting guuud for one game an accomplishment, that’s great for you. There is no getting good! It is just understanding how a specific game has implemented its own rules and then exploiting those rules against it. This reminds me of the “git gud” “argument”. Why spend time crafting a build that is based on roleplay or something one is personally interested in when mathematically, it will never work anyways? That is where I have ended up with video games and their changing systems which are never consistent with any other philosophies or ideas. This allows me to understand how the mathematics actually function with the skills in a specific game.
I used to like theory-crafting builds, but I spent so much time doing that by myself, that now I find it more fun to read build guides and the data other people have gathered.
So, I struggle, depending on the game, with the amount of time or currency it takes to get to the point where I can try alternate builds to see if I like the playstyle. My personal problem with these types of games is that once the novelty wears off, the only fun that I can find is with the playstyle of a certain build.
